Q1- What is Well Heard?

Well Heard is an online community that focuses on improving your psychological and emotional well-being. We aim to break the taboo around mental health, provide you with DIY tools that you can use anytime, at your comfort; and online/offline counselling sessions with qualified psychologists at affordable prices.

Q2- What are your DIY tools and how can I use them?

Our Do-It-Yourself tools include assessment tests to keep a check on your mental health, simple and satisfying games that help you relax and unwind, psychological tools to practice mindfulness and reduce anxiety.

Q3- Do I have to pay for DIY tools?

No, our DIY tools are for free and can be used anytime after signing up.

Q4- What is "Gift a session"?

It is an initiative of Well Heard to end the stigma around mental health. We aim to make gifting therapy as normal as gifting chocolates, flowers and cards. With this initiative, you can book a session for your loved one and gift it to them to ensure their well being.

Q5- How can I gift a session to someone?

You can click on Gift a Session button and fill in the details of yourself and the recipient and we will reach out to you for further details.

Q6- How does gift a session work?

We understand that your loved ones have a need to speak their heart out to a professional and they are too afraid to take the first Step. You can be the first step for them and start their journey of being a better version of themselves by gifting them a session. You can choose to be anonymous if required.

Q1- How are the modes of communication in therapy sessions?

Our therapists give sessions through-

  • Q2- What language are the sessions taken in?

    We only provide sessions in Hindi or English.

    Q3- What is the difference between counseling and therapy?

    Counselling refers to seeking help via talking more deeply and clearly about your issues with your psychologist with some new insights. However, therapy is more exercise based and is a longer process. Both also vary in terms of presenting problems. If you are diagnosed with a mental health problem like depression or generalised anxiety, you will benefit more with therapy while if you are struggling with smaller behavioural issues like expressing feelings and understanding other people, you can benefit by counselling too. Counselling and therapy however different, go hand in hand.

    Q4- Is online therapy confidential and safe?

    At Well Heard, we exercise the highest degree of confidentiality while rendering our therapy services. We strictly follow RCI guidelines and also the BPS code of ethical conduct. We understand that confidentiality is a central part of your safety, which is always our first priority.

    Q5- What kind of issues do you help with?

    We help with all kinds of mental health issues related to relationships, personal, social, family or work life, except for chronic disorders involving psychosis. We also provide couple and family counselling.

    Q6- How does counselling/therapy helps?

    Counselling and therapy aims to help you understand the situation more clearly. It further enables you to understand and express both negative as well as positive feelings, thoughts and emotions. A deeper understanding of your triggers and actions is also an important component which enables you to better cope with the situations during the time and in future to avoid relapse.

    Q7- What kind of issues you cannot help me with?

    We can only help you in your psychological and emotional wellness, but not in emergency or psychotic conditions or conditions of suicidal tendencies, feeling of self harm or harm to others because we think such conditions are taken care of, best with personal intervention. In such a condition, we recommend you to take your family or near one' s help and visit your nearest hospital and seek in-person professional help as soon as you can.

    Q8- How long does a therapy session last?

    A session is usually of 30 mins, however if a session seems shorter to you, you can request an extension of it on the discretion and availability of the therapist at a prorated cost of extended session.

    Q9- How many sessions of therapy is required for me?

    There are no exact number of sessions required by anyone. Counselling and therapy are ongoing processes where the number of sessions required can vary for all strongly depending on the issue you are facing and your recovery rate. While usually 6-9 sessions seem to be helpful in most cases, you can discuss this in more detail with your psychologist in the first session.

    Q10- Can I change my therapist during the course of therapy?

    Yes, you can change your therapist during the course of therapy. However, it is not very advisable as you will have almost begin with the process again(depending on various other factors).

    Q11- What if I am not satisfied with my sessions?

    Due to any reason, in case you are not satisfied with your sessions, you can write to us at [email protected] describing your concern and we will look into it and get back to you with another suitable alternative.

    Q1- What is the Employee Benefit Programme offered by Well Heard?

    Our EBP caters mental health needs and overall emotional well-being of employees of the organisation making them more resilient and productive. We provide screening tests to assess the mental health of employees and maintain mood charts for the same. We provide them access to unlimited therapy sessions with qualified therapists. Our action plans also include personality assessments, DIY tools, periodic workshops and webinars .

    Q2- As an employee of the organisation associated with Well Heard, what is the benefit for me?

    If your organisation is associated with Well Heard' s EBP, you are entitled to speak to a qualified psychologist about anything that is bothering you. You will get more benefits like periodic screening tests, DIY tools, webinars, workshops, or any other related benefit specifically required by your organisation.

    Q3- Does my employer get to know the details of my issues discussed in therapy?

    No as all interactions which take place in the setting of therapy are absolutely confidential.

    Q4- As an employer, what benefit does EBP have for my organisation?

    The World Health Organisation estimates that India will suffer economic losses due to mental health conditions, amounting to a whopping 1.03 trillion dollars between 2012 and 2030. Moreover, 42% of private sector employees have general anxiety disorder or depression. The EBP makes sure you don’t lose any penny because of deteriorating mental health of your employees.
